Mas de un año y medio despues, retomo el blog, algo que he ido dejando, unas veces por desgana, otras por aburrimiento, pero creo que me merezco retomarlo y poder compartir cosas que he hecho durante este tiempo, a lo que me he ido dedicando, o lo que he visto que me gustase o me pareciese chulo.
More than a year and a half later, I’m returning to the blog—something I had set aside, at times out of a lack of motivation, at others out of boredom. But I feel I owe it to myself to pick it back up and share some of the things I’ve been working on, what I’ve been spending my time on, or simply things I’ve come across that I liked or found cool.
Este diorama lo montamos en la VI Feria de Curtis, este octubre, Arhem 1944, mi hijo Iago de 13 años y yo, pero no es un diorama que se montase de un día para otro, sino que llevaba tiempo preparando, en este caso 2 par de años, tienes una idea y la desarrollas.
My 13-year-old son, Iago, and I put together this diorama—themed "Arnhem 1944"—for the 6th Curtis Fair this past October. It wasn’t something that came together overnight; it was a project I’d been preparing for quite a while—about two years, in fact—taking an initial idea and developing it.
Revisas fotos, dioramas similares, vuelves a ver la pelicula, leer, documentarte, se que es imposible hacerlo 100% igual, pero que tenga ese transfondo.
Y nuestra pasión por la historia.
You review photos, similar dioramas, you watch the movie again, read, document yourself, I know it is impossible to do it 100% the same, but have that background.
And our passion for history.
La preparación, planos, uso de IA, darle vueltas, usar la 3D, son elementos que durante meses nos ocupo tiempo y dinero.
Preparation, drafting plans, using AI, exploring various options, and utilizing 3D modeling—these were all elements that, over the course of several months, demanded both our time and our money.
Para por fin, montar una batalla en condiciones, con el contraataque de Grubner, como eje vertebrador, por lo que os dejo las fotos del propio diorama, del cual estamos muy contentos, pero tambien somos criticos y sabemos que tiene mucho que mejor.
Finally, we set up a proper battle—centered around Grubner’s counterattack—and I’m sharing photos of the diorama itself. We’re very happy with how it turned out, though we’re also self-critical and know there’s plenty of room for improvement.
Espero que os gustase y que el coronel Frost y sus chicos tambien les gustase el homenaje.
